TP-Link TD-W9980 Router - Talktalk TV
How to configure the TP-Link TD-W9980 (N600) router for use with talktalk TV
The TP-Link TD-W9980 router supports multicast and IGMP snooping which are required for IPTV services
such as youview provided by talktalk and BT but it doesn't work with boosts such as the free Sky channels straight out of the box. One simple
configuration change gets things working. Here's what to do:
Login to your router settings (type http://tplinkmodem.net/ into your browser).
Click on Network and WAN Settings should be displayed (if not click on WAN settings).
Click Add
Select DSL Modulation Type: ADSL
Under ATM Configuration enter VPI 0 and VCI 65.
Click the Advance tab and ensure Encapsulation Mode: LLC and ATM QoS Type: UBR
Select WAN service Setup - Connection Type: Bridge
Click Save and your done - that's all there is to it.
This procedure should be the same for other TP-Link routers too.
