10 CHANNEL ANALOGUE AUDIO WITH PRIORITY LINE

The CX10 is an audio control unit that allows a single channel priority signal to be routed into all channels of a audio system, simultaneously attenuating existing audio. The priority input gain is adjustable, also the amount of fade down of the main channels can be set. These settings are on the rear panel via recessed potentiometers. The CX1 0 also has a test facility and connections for remote monitoring. A push switch allows a quick and easy test of operation to be made.

Triggered by shorting a pair of pins on the rear panel, the CX1 0 can be linked to a fire alarm for evacuation announcements or any other requirement where 1 signal is required to take priority over all others.

Each channel level can be adjusted via recessed potentiometers behind the front panel.

Balanced inputs and outputs (that can be strapped for unbalanced operation) on all 10 channels and the priority input.

An LED on the front panel indicates when priority is triggered.

The remote monitoring facility can be used to indicate the test status and that the equipment is powered/functional.

The CX1 0 has been designed to be connected between the mixer (or pre-amp) of an audio system and the power amplifiers.

The unit may be connected to 10 channels of audio.

The priority signal (eg. emergency microphone) is connected to the priority input socket. This is a line level input. The control input is connected to the triggering device (a fire alarm or an isolated switch etc). When the unit is triggered the programme llevel in all ten channels is attenuted and the priority input automatically mixed into all ten outputs.

When the trigger is switched off or removed the programme will fade back to its original level. The amount of programme attenution is adjustable between 0 - 90 dB All controls are operated through holes in the front and rear panels for security and to avoid accidental changes to settings.
